Mini Manifesto: In Praise of Small Businesses

Give me the small business owner any day. They're deeply invested in their success and will commit wholly to the process of change. They engage passionately and they thrive on learning and collaboration. You can hear it in their voices, they need a partner, an edge, somebody who they can trust that can help them rise to the next level. When the job is done and the goal met, you have a client, and often a friend, for life.

On the flip side of the coin, each time a larger company comes calling for an extensive proposal and the old "dog and pony show" you know that's a day wasted and you'll never hear from them again. We can do a half-dozen smaller, truly meaningful and impactful jobs for small businesses in the time it to takes to make a conference room of middle managers budge an inch. I gleefully cede that ground and potential client to agencies with higher overhead and higher billable rates.

So thanks for your inquiry larger company but we'll have to pass, we're too busy.
